Iain J McConnell is seen recieving a unique international award from the Canadian Calgary Burns Singers for his determination and major contribution in bringing the international singers to Scotland to perform at the Edinburgh Military Tattoo of 2009 to celebrate the 250th birthday of Robert Burns. Iain was stunned by the quality of their singing when he delivered the Immortal Memory at the biggest Burns night in the world in Calgary before an audience of over 900 guests. He left Calgary with a promise that he would introduced the singers to the Tattoo production team recommending that they use their skills. As a result, the 2009 tattoo was enhanced by the excellent performances of the choir. Iain was presented with an original hand pulled silkscreen of trees surrounding the historic Rosslyn Chapel. The work, one of a very limited edition, was created by the renowned international artist Bill Laing RCA of Canada and Scotland.
