The
Inaugural Robert Burns Memorial Lecture
For
many years, Iain J McConnell had been convinced that there was
another major international Robert Burns event which could be
introduced to mark the poet’s vision of greater equality
in the world. On 13 January, 2004, Iain presented and produced
the Inaugural Robert Burns Memorial Lecture and Gala Dinner in
the Delegates Dining Room of the United Nations in New York. The
lecture was delivered by Kofi Annan, the Secretary General of
the United Nations. Iain is presently working on the production
of future Robert Burns Memorial Lectures
and gala dinners |

The exciting voices of the Calgary Burns Club Singers
Prestige - Events - Scotland is presently working
on bringing the singing group to Scotland in the future
For
three years, Iain produced the biggest Robert Burns celebrations
in the UK outside Scotland when over 750 guests each year attended
the annual Robert Burns Suppers in Reading, Berkshire. The prestigious
events were tailored for the particular audiences resulting in great
success and major national media coverage including television
